Together with Italian pianist Marco Rapetti, Peter Barthel produced an illustrated, filmed performance of the piano suite ‘Au Télescope’, by Polish-French composer Alexandre Tansman (1897-1986). In this six-part suite, published in Paris in 1951, the composer sets the planets Venus and Mars, the moon, a comet, and two well-known star constellations to music.
